David Mendels brings nearly two decades of experience as a general manager, corporate strategist, thought leader, and deal maker focused on making the Internet easier to use for consumers and developers. Mendels is a recognized leader in the development and strategies behind rich Internet applications.
At Macromedia, Mendels served as executive vice president and general manager, leading product development, marketing, and alliances including the setup and launch of international operations in Latin America and Japan. In this role he directly managed Macromedia's flagship products, including the Flash and Flex line, Macromedia Studio and ColdFusion. Mendels joined Adobe following its acquisition of Macromedia in December 2005 and led the company's Business Productivity business unit where he was responsible for $1 billion in revenue from products including Adobe Acrobat™, Acrobat Connect™, LiveCycle and Flex.
Kevin Rhodes brings more than 23 years of executive level experience in a wide range of technology and software companies. He has led both public and private companies with extensive experience in finance, IT, M&A, Investor Relations and equity offerings.
Most recently, Mr. Rhodes served for over five years as the EVP & Chief Financial Officer of PlumChoice, Inc., a technology-enabled services business in the remote technology support market. Prior to joining PlumChoice, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Edgewater Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: EDGW), where he led the acquisition strategy and finance organization. Mr. Rhodes also held senior financial management positions with Eliassen Group, Inc. and Waste Management, Inc.
He received his BS degree with a concentration in Accounting & Finance from Merrimack College and holds an MBA, with highest honors, from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College.
Andy joined Brightcove in 2005 as one of its founding executives. He brings over 20 years experience as an attorney and senior manager. At Brightcove, he is responsible for the Company's legal matters, governance and corporate development. Andy is also Brightcove's General Manager with executive responsibility for the Company's Japanese and Asia Pacific business units. Prior to Brightcove, Andy served as Vice President and General Counsel at Lycos Inc., where, in addition to heading a team responsible for all of Lycos' legal affairs, he also played a leading role in negotiating and establishing many of Lycos' key US and international relationships. Before joining Lycos, Andy was in private practice with Shearman & Sterling in New York and Choate, Hall & Stewart in Boston. Andy also served as law clerk for the former Chief Judge for the United States District Court for Connecticut. Andy received his JD from Cornell Law School, where he was an Editor of the Cornell Law Review, and his BA from Tufts University.
Neil Lieberman is responsible for driving Brightcove's worldwide branding and positioning, as well as the company's corporate marketing and marketing communications strategy. Lieberman has more than 30 years of experience in marketing and business development for a wide range of software and technology companies. Most recently, he served as the Chief Marketing Officer for VFA, a provider of cloud-based facilities capital planning software and services. Previously, as the Executive Director of Unified Communications at AT&T, Mr. Lieberman led the development and launch of the company’s first cloud-based communications service. Prior to AT&T, he served as the Vice President of Marketing at Interwise, where he drove revenue growth and strategic partnerships that led to the company’s acquisition by AT&T. Lieberman has held other senior level positions at Intralinks, Monitor Company, Lotus Development Corporation and Information Resources. He received his BS degree from Princeton University and holds an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
As Senior Vice President and General Manager of Digital Marketing for Brightcove, Caren is focused on driving the strategy and execution for the digital marketing business unit. Since joining Brightcove in 2005, Caren has played an integral role in many aspects of the company and its growth, from product management to product marketing, international expansion, customer relations, sales and business development. Highlights include helping to define the product strategy and bringing to market Brightcove's industry-leading Video Marketing Suite, leading the strategy, launch and operations for an SMB-focused market offering, helping to establish Brightcove's operations in Japan, and leading the integration of Zencoder into Brightcove following its 2012 acquisition.

Prior to Brightcove, Caren held innovation-focused roles at Lycos, AltaVista and Raging Bull. She holds a B.S. in Finance from Ithaca College and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
A seventeen year veteran of the technology industry, Anil joined Brightcove in 2014 as part of the company's acquisition of Unicorn Media, Inc. As senior vice president and general manager for Media, Anil leads Brightcove's media-focused business and is responsible for the overall go-to-market strategy, encompassing global marketing, the media product portfolio and the delivery of customer solutions.
Prior to Brightcove, Anil was the SVP Business & Corporate Development for Unicorn Media, and led the company's sale to Brightcove. Throughout his career, Anil has been deeply involved in venture development and technology marketing. Prior to Unicorn, he was the CEO of Brightmonk Innovation, a venture design and new product development firm that specializes in the development of startups from concept through commercialization. Anil also co-founded LOT2 Labs, a venture incubator based in Tempe, Arizona and previously served as the founding Vice President of Technology Ventures for AZTE, the firm responsible for managing and commercializing the intellectual property emerging from Arizona State University.
Anil is a Charter Member of TiE, the world's largest non-profit focused on fostering entrepreneurship, and has served as a founding Board Member for TiE Arizona and President from 2003-2004 and 2007-2008. A technophile at heart, Anil holds two Master of Science degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) in Technology & Policy and Materials Science & Engineering. He completed his B.S. in Ceramic Engineering with Honors and Distinction from Alfred University.
At Brightcove, Jon is responsible for driving the company's product roadmap and delivering market-leading innovations. Previously, Jon was focused on R&D strategies and engineering, product development and production operations for Unicorn Media, which was acquired by Brightcove in January 2014. Prior to Unicorn Media, Jon served as a Director at Amazon Web Services, where he led the effort to create a new service offering that resulted in the successful launch and subsequent growth of Amazon Web Services Elastic Transcoder. Jon has also held key product development roles at iMemories, Limelight Networks and Thomson Learning. He holds a degree from Arizona State University.
Mark joined Brightcove in 2010 to bring his digital industry knowledge and technology experience to Brightcove’s Asia Pacific organisation. Mark has led Brightcove’s effort in building partnerships with key media companies in the region, growing the team in Australia & New Zealand and successfully winning customers such as Television New Zealand, Nine Entertainment Network, Network Ten, Yahoo!7, MediaWorks and Fairfax. Mark currently manages Brightcove’s Asia Pacific team, leading sales and marketing activities across the Digital Media and Digital Marketing businesses.
Prior to joining Brightcove Mark held several senior appointments with Allaire, Macromedia and Adobe in a variety of field and headquarter-based roles in Asia Pacific and North America across sales, marketing and product management. Mark is based in Sydney and holds a Bachelors degree in Product Design from Sheffield Hallam University.
Yoji joined Brightcove with 20+ years of business experience, including 10+ years in digital media business.
He previously led a numbers of projects related to digital video for the Walt Disney Company (Japan) Ltd. as Executive Director of Business Development. At BB Cable Corporation (Softbank Group) and Broadmedia Corporation, Izaki served as General Manager, launching and managing the company's VOD service. At Booz & Company, he led management consulting for major media and technology companies. At Andersen Consulting (currently Accenture), he led IT consulting for enterprises.
He holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and is a graduate of Kyoto University in Biology.
Mark Stanton has more than 18 years’ experience in the web and digital space working with global market leaders. At Brightcove, Mark has helped build the company’s reputation among media and digital marketing companies in the region, deploying the catch-up streaming services for most major ANZ broadcasters and building out a client base that includes Fairfax, News Corp, Cricket Australia, Xero, Bunnings and Tourism Australia.
Prior to Brightcove, Mark played a pivotal role in building Gruden into one of Australia’s top independent digital agencies, working with Disney, Adobe and AMP as an analyst, architect, developer and team leader. He has also been a founding member of the Web Standards Group and the Sydney Video Technology Meetup.
